  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

Physics was my childhood passion. I was always intrigued by the phenomena of nature, and I always like to discover the universe outside. In addition, I can feel a great pleasure when teaching someone a new information, feeling he is getting the information well and living the experience as much as I lived it one day.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

Math and physics, like a symphony the universe is playing, a fine-tuned piece that is well organized in its every detail. If you can't hear the sound of physics, read math as a musical piece, you need to get the journey with me.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

The best example for a great tutor was Richard Feynman, a great physicist and a spectacular teacher, who I can take as my role model without hesitation.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

The skills of tutoring that every teacher and tutor must aquire are simplicity, charisma, well background, full concentration, accuracy in addressing information , so he can provide the needed knowledge for the student he is teaching.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

A funny story worth to tell is when I was at high school, a teacher of us was telling the class about the quantum mechanics, and how the idea of quantization of energy popped to the minds of Planck and Einstein. Back then, I started thinking about how could the space and time be also quantized and only come to us in well discrete packets. Surprisingly, when I reached college, I realized that there is such thing called Planck spacetime constants.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

Sometimes it is hard to simplify some great and complicated concepts for students to grab easily, so I face some obstacles in this category, but with practice and hard working, you can always find the perfect solution.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Besides teaching math and physics, I admire deep conversations, and I believe that true learning comes from interaction, asking deep meaningful questions, thinking and looking for solutions.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?

I would end with this simple question: After everything I stated above, what do you think, am I a SuperProf?! I think I need no more to support this statement. My name is Bahaa Mazloum, and welcome to my world.
