Coming from a family of teachers I started tutoring mathematics when I was sixteen years old. Since then I never quit tutoring, from high school students to PhD candidates, to adult learners and I always enjoyed it. I always had an intuitive and visual way for abstract concepts and that's what I try to pass to my students. My method always adapts to the student, focusing on the material he/she provides. Patience and love for the subject are key words for my method. To be able to teach a methodology and make the student independent in its studies is my main task. I have a wide experience tutoring maths and physics for A level/IB, maths, physics and statistics for university. I manage the most beknown statistical software and programming languages as SPSS, STATA, Origin, R, Jamovi, etc. I can advise on master and PhD thesis for statistical data analysis (both inferential and descriptive).

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I am a vocational teacher. I started to show exceptional skills in mathematics when I started primary school and I started tutoring when I was sixteen.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach maths, physics and statistics. Those come sometimes with IT. I am also passionate about literature and philosophy. I like to see connections between different subjects and highlight them to my students, so that they can have a broader view of reality.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Many teachers influenced me. I am actually the third generation of a teacher family, so that I lived between teachers and students. I like traditions in teaching in the way culture and knowledge is honored as an important value.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

The most important thing to be a good tutor is to be able to let your students improve their quality of knowledge and become able the go through the difficulties they found in their path.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

My most exciting time during the uni was when attending the theoretical physics lessons, in the last year of my specialization. We were just seven students and our professor was a Nobel candidate. No matter the classes were very early in the morning (and I'm not the morning type one), that was pure thrill.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

Maths is always up ahead, it's like climbing a mountain with no top, there is always more, but the more you climb the more clear and bright the sky is.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

    Writing, reading and travelling.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

Well, you should ask that to my students : ) Anyway I try my best to help
