About Rani
Hi! I’m a UCL student with a genuine passion for learning and helping others discover that learning can be exciting, rewarding, and empowering.
Outside of tutoring, I’m endlessly curious and love expanding my knowledge through podcasts and books on a wide range of topics, from science and psychology to politics and current affairs. I also enjoy travelling and immersing myself in different cultures, as I believe there’s always something new to learn from the people and places around us.
Creativity is another big part of my life. I enjoy dancing, playing the flute and piano, and baking—activities that have taught me the value of patience, discipline, and having fun while learning new skills.
I hope to inspire my students to develop not only a strong understanding of science but also a lifelong curiosity about the world. My goal is to help students approach learning with confidence, enthusiasm, and the belief that they are capable of achieving more than they think.

My personalised tutoring approach is designed to build confidence, strengthen understanding, and improve exam performance.
Each student receives tailored lessons with custom-made slides adapted to their learning style and current ability. I begin by carrying out a detailed specification breakdown to identify strengths, target weak areas, and create a focused plan to help each student progress effectively.
Lessons combine strong subject knowledge with exam technique. We work through exam-style questions regularly, developing an understanding of key command words, buzzwords, and model phrases that examiners look for to help maximise marks and boost grades.
To make learning engaging and memorable, I use clear diagrams, real-life examples, and simple analogies to break down difficult concepts and help students understand the ‘why’ behind the science. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to build lasting confidence and make science enjoyable, accessible, and easy to remember.
