About Finlay

I'm a passionate IGCSE Physics and English teacher.

I was homeschooled and went through the Cambridge International system excelling in Physics and English.

I've gone on to receive a Cambridge certificate in English teaching (CELTA), where I learnt the ins and outs of teaching and learning.

Since then, I've been teaching professionally for 3 years. I've attended and run workshops on teaching neurodiverse students, and used this methodology with many students. I've been a full-time English teacher internationally, a private in-person and online tutor, and full-time homeschool private tutor.

I'm able to teach the syllabus on its own, teach extra lessons, or do intense exam preparation.

About the lesson

My lessons create a safe space for your child or you to learn at your best.

Having first-hand experience of what it's like to not fit into a typical learning environment, and having years of experience working with children and adults who have ADHD, dyslexia, a variety of ASD levels, including PDA, and Tourette syndrome, I've learnt to adapt and plan to each student's needs, finding what works best for the individual.

I'm patient, understanding, and an effective teacher, and I'm looking forward to helping you!
