About Isabella
I am a second year university student studying psychology with a minor in International Development. My primary language is english but I also speak french. Throughout my life I have tried to find ways to make positive change in people’s lives and teaching someone a new language is something I’ve always enjoyed.
I have been teaching English as a Second Language for many months. During this time I have helped students work on many aspects of English. I have helped with communication through practicing speaking in a non-judgemental space. I have worked through vocabulary to increase the amount of words students feel comfortable using. I have worked on pronunciation through the International Phonetic Alphabet. I have also helped students with verbs and grammar in an enjoyable way.
In the past, I taught English to students in Cuba while I was there on a university work study program. I have also worked a lot with children and youth ages 5 – 15 through planning activities where they learn while having fun.

Overall, I am happy to teach you however works for you. Whether that is through a casual teaching style where you practice speaking and writing as you wish. Or a fun game-based interaction with you where we avoid formal lessons and focus on learning in an enjoyable way. If you would prefer to have more structure, that is no problem as I have lots of experience organizing structured learning plans for your needs. Overall, I will make sure I understand what your goals are for the classes and will plan lessons specifically for you.
