About Lorraine
I am a qualified Science and Maths teacher with many years' experience in state education, private special needs education and home tuition. I have a BSc (Hons) and M Phil in Biological Chemistry and a PGCE and PGC in Special Education with neurodiversity including Autism, ADHD and complex needs. I specialise in helping students establish a strong foundation in understanding of the subject and the necessary skills needed and, as an ex-GCSE examiner, prepare students for achieving their maximum potential. As well as GCSE Maths and all Sciences, I teach A level Biology and Chemistry and have helped many students achieve the required grades for university. I can help students with study skills, personal organisation and can help improve mental and emotional well-being with particular relevance to students with neurodiversity, anxiety and attachment disorders.

I do not offer a free lesson but am happy to meet for 20 minutes to discuss your needs. I like to learn about each individual student and their past educational experiences in order to provide a bespoke programme of skills and content to maximise the students' learning and well-being. A compassionate holistic approach that builds the students' confidence is the best way to establish a lifelong love of learning and self-belief to become the best them they can be. Whatever their previous experience and attainment, this empathetic, skilled, focused methodology can enrich their education by gaining high-level qualifications as well as promoting their emotional and mental well-being. I use a variety of approaches and have a large array of Maths and Science resources available to use as well as many excellent resources applicable for neurodiversity and well-being.
