About Charlotte
Currently, I am an undergraduate Materials Science & Engineering student in the Chicagoland area. I have taken numerous STEM courses both in high school and college. Here's the thing: I love STEM learning, but it is constantly humbling me! I have never been the kind of person who just understands topics as I'm being taught them; I have had to put in hours of work studying them to understand. After many years of schooling, I finally feel like I have mastered studying techniques. I want to share my knowledge and techniques to inspire students to stick with STEM!

I will provide up to 1.5 hour lessons that begin with asking about areas the student wants clarification in, then we will overview the most important topics. From my experience as a student, the best way to gain full comprehension of a topic is by walking through actual problems. We will start doing them together, and throughout the lesson work towards the student doing problems on their own. I know what it is like to have a teacher who forgets that students don't understand anything yet, so I will ensure that the student builds their understanding from the basics.
