About Dave
I qualified as a teacher in June 2006 after retraining following a successful career as an Electronic Security Engineer. As a Teacher I have taught GCSE Maths to students in colleges and prisons throughout the North West. Having gained a wealth of experience teaching and tutoring Maths up to GCSE level, I have developed a teaching style that builds mutual respect between myself and the student. I believe that the real world is looking for students who can understand the basic principles of maths and how to show these principles and strategies in the functional everyday working environment. I have experience of teaching Functional Skills Maths up to level 2 and have enjoyed success in preparing students for the QTS numeracy skills test. I am a very patient and understanding tutor. I recognise the individual attitudes and skills of each individual and can tailor my tutoring approach accordingly. I am very much at home working with any age group or gender.
