I am a third year student studying maths at the University of Exeter. I achieved two A*s in maths and further maths at A-level and have been tutoring the subject for more than two years. I helped younger students who were struggling in my final year of sixth form as a part of a maths clinic that was set up for said students to come with their problems. During my first two years at university I have tutored consistently in a more traditional way doing over 100 hours of tutoring in this time. Among my students I have covered a range of levels including pre-GCSE all the way up to further maths at A2.
I am very personable and find that my sessions always have a relaxed feel to them which helps the student bring up questions and topics without any feeling of trepidation. Tutoring for as long as I have and for such a variety of people my tutoring ability has improved as I understand what people do and do not like. This has been aided by my own experience during sixth form where I requested the aid of my teachers with a variety of topics that I struggled with at the time and thus appreciate how one-to-one teaching feels and how to get the best out of it.
I will teach at any level of maths up to and including A-level.
