About Amy

Hello! My name is Amy and I am an English teacher.

While that may be my 'official' title, I also have a lot of other titles: daughter, sister, friend, college graduate, traveler, reader, movie watcher, music listener, fashionista, shopaholic and so much more!

I love learning and that is one of the main reasons that I love teaching as well! I hold a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Intercultural Studies, and a TEFL Certificate but what I really have is a desire to learn and explore the world, I hope you have that desire as well. Learning to speak and understand English can be difficult, but the opportunities with the skill are endless.

I believe that the 'classroom' should be a fun and energetic environment where students are motivated to learn and practice English. If you are looking for a welcoming, enthusiastic, and professional teacher you have come to the right place. With my calm voice, organizational abilities, and my educational and teaching experience I believe that we can have a fun time learning together!

About the lesson

Do you or your child struggle with feeling like you're never able to truly grasp the English language? Look no further, I am here to help, with an emphasis on speaking and listening English, supported by reading and writing, you will feel comfortable using the language like a native speaker in no time!

A typical lesson starts out best with some music or a movie clip with a main topic to focus on. We will learn how to correctly pronounce and use words in different situations and incorporate them into your daily life. Whether you are wanting to learn business terms for the office or fit in with some friends at your local skateboard park, you will find the confidence in learning English with me.
