About Tasnimah
Hey there! I'm Tasnimah, a Computer Science student at FIU Honors College (3.88 GPA, if numbers are your thing ) with a genuine love for helping students have those "wait, I actually get it now!" moments.
I've been where you are. I earned my AICE Diploma and a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, and now I work as a Teaching Assistant at FIU, mentoring 100+ students through the ups and downs of learning to code. Before that, I tutored students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, so whether you're stuck on fractions or wrestling with algebra, I've probably seen it before, and I know it's not actually as scary as it feels.
My teaching style is simple: no judgment, no rushing, and no pretending something makes sense when it doesn't. We go at your pace, break big problems into small ones, and build your confidence one "aha" moment at a time.
And if you're a high schooler eyeing college? I've got you there too. Applications, essays, financial aid, choosing the right school, I'll walk you through all of it, free, during our time together.

Math and STEM have a bit of a reputation problem, they're not actually as scary as people make them out to be, I promise. In our lessons, we'll take whatever's tripping you up and break it down into small, manageable steps until it actually clicks. No confusing jargon, no rushing, just clear explanations that make sense to you.
Every session is built around you. Whether you're working through basic math or tackling something more advanced, we'll move at whatever pace feels right, and I'll adjust as we go based on what's working. STEM subjects like science, coding, and math are so much more fun once the fear of "getting it wrong" is out of the picture, and that's exactly what we'll work on together.
If you're a high school student figuring out the college process, I'm also here for that. From application strategy to essay writing to choosing the right fit, we can hop on a Zoom call and work through it step by step, at your pace, with zero pressure.

My hourly rate is $50, with discounted pack pricing available if you book multiple sessions upfront (5 hours or 10 hours). Webcam sessions are offered at a lower rate of $25/hour.
