About Michael

My backround is in Asian Studies. I taught English and studied Chinese in Taiwan for over three years. After coming back to the U.S. I taught at the college level and tutored English privately for many years. I've learned to enjoy teaching privately and have become very good at it.

About the lesson

I like to focus on pronunciation while I'm teaching and my students have told me that they appreciate that very much. Whether I'm teaching grammar or conversational English, I feel that correcting any and all types of pronunciation problems is critical to the learning process.

Retired ESL college professor. I can teach all aspects of English but I specialize in conversational English.
