About Jake
Hello! I am a recent graduate from the University of Exeter with tutoring experience and a wide variety of experience working with young people.
I received a 2:1 in History at University and before that attained A*AA at A level in Economics, Maths and History. I also have AS level qualifications in Critical Thinking, Film Studies and Russian, and hold a FSMQ in Maths.
At GCSE I received 9A*s and 1A and am able to teach English, French, Russian, History, Maths, Drama, Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to this level.
I have worked as a tutor with a variety of children in the past, mainly teaching Maths and History, although I have also taught a plethora of other subjects. I have spent summers working at children's activity camps for many years and feel this has given me invaluable experience of keeping children safe, as well as engaged and entertained for long periods of time.
Having had a younger sister who has at times struggled with subjects at school, especially Maths, I have always enjoyed helping people to come to an understanding in subjects that are extremely difficult to them. I was always on hand to help my sister whilst she struggled with work, and am happy to say she is now herself going to Exeter University.
