About Katie
I graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Modern Languages, and I am fascinated by languages and how we learn them. I love to travel and practise my languages whilst communicating with people across the globe, which is why I believe languages are incredibly important, as they help us personally and professionally to understand others. Having worked as a rock climbing instructor, an activity leader at a summer camp and a teaching assistant in the UK, I have discovered that I love to teach and work with young people. I always do my best to tailor my lessons towards my students' needs. I try to prepare lessons to suit my learners' learning style and ability, as well as catering to their strengths and weaknesses. Usually my lessons are 1 hour long, but these can be negotiated based on the student's aims. I have previously tutored in French and Spanish, alongside working with many ESL students at a summer school. I have recently completed my TESOL qualification to teach English as a foreign language. Whilst completing the qualification, I taught English in a school in India. I have worked with students aged 4 to adults and so I am happy to adapt to any age and any level, whether you are a beginner or a proficient speaker.
