About Ernesto

As an Electronics Engineer for the U.S. Navy specializing in avionics, my journey in education began when I started tutoring my young nephews in mathematics. What started as helping two 10-year-olds while I was still a teenager evolved into valuable lessons in patience and the art of gauging true understanding. Through their progress, I learned to recognize the subtle signs that indicate whether a student truly grasps a concept. This early experience sparked a passion that continued throughout my college years, where I found profound satisfaction in helping students conquer subjects they once thought impossible. There's nothing quite like witnessing someone's confidence grow as they master concepts they previously feared.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring centers on thorough preparation and strategic planning. By reviewing students' course materials and textbooks in advance, I develop targeted lesson plans that maximize our time together. Each session begins with a comprehensive overview before tackling homework assignments. To reinforce learning, I provide customized study guides that students can use for independent practice. This methodical approach has consistently proven effective – when students truly grasp the concepts, homework becomes less daunting, and many find themselves confidently explaining these concepts to their classmates. My greatest satisfaction comes from watching students transform from hesitant learners to capable peer educators.
