About Shane
Hi!
I'm currently working as an Electrical Engineer for Rockwell Collins. I have undergraduate degrees in both Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, from Adelaide University and CDU, respectively. Prior to my engineering career, I spent 3 years teaching senior school mathematics under the South Australian Certificate of Education program in South Australia, working for the SA Department of Education.

In addition to explicit instruction, I try to give context to the mathematics that students learn - often something that is lacking in the mathematics classroom. Providing students with a geometric understanding of what it is they are doing is an invaluable way to learn mathematics, and provides students with deeper understanding.
