About Hailey

I am in my second year of undergrad at the University of Minnesota where I study Biology and Nutrition. I am a pre-medical student looking to pursue integrative health with great passion for whole body healing and holistic medicine. I am a research assistant at my university where I code in R (programming language) to run image analysis on lake photos to compare with visitor perception data. This opportunity has allowed me to present my work at a number of conferences and work closely with incredibly reputable faculty at my institution. I also have experience as an in-home Direct Support Professional (DSP) where I administered medications and ensured proper hygiene and social well-being to adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. Beyond this, I coached in high school, lifeguarded at two pools, taught swim lessons, and was the manager at my local aquatic center.

I am a visual learner -- meaning typical lectures and teacher presentations don't come easy to me. I've found my own methods of learning that have helped me succeed in my heavy STEM courses. I am not here to reteach your course, but to evaluate your learning. I've been the student that feels like a beginner in an upper-level class. I'm happy to bring you back to the basics, and continue until you are confident and satisfied. My expertise is in intro-level STEM courses like Biology 1 and 2, Chemistry 1 and 2, AP Bio, etc. I am happy to help with any high school courses (English, history, etc.) Study plans will be curated differently for each student but plan to meet 1-2x each week. I'm happy to chat; feel free to reach out!
