About Siddhartha

I am a theoretical physicist with a five-year BS-MS dual degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, one of India’s premier research institutes. I wrote my master’s thesis at the University of Stavanger in Norway, and I now research string theory and complex geometry with collaborators at universities in Norway and the UK. I have co-authored research papers in physics.

At the University of Stavanger, I also worked as a teaching assistant for two undergraduate mathematics courses, MAT100 and MAT200. I ran problem sessions and helped students one-on-one, which taught me how to spot exactly where someone is stuck and explain the same idea in different ways until it makes sense.

I have strong foundations in calculus, algebra, mechanics, and electricity and magnetism, and I enjoy explaining them in a simple, friendly way. I am patient and encouraging, and I adapt to each student’s pace.

About the lesson

I teach the way I learned physics: understand the idea first, then practice until it sticks. You won’t just memorize formulas. You’ll see where they come from and why they work, so you can handle problems you haven’t seen before, which is exactly what tests and AP exams ask for.

In a typical lesson, we start with what’s coming up in your class, whether that’s homework, a test or an exam. I explain the topic step by step in plain language, and we solve a problem together. Then you try one on your own while I watch, so I can see where you get stuck and fix it right away. You leave with a few practice problems for next time, and each lesson builds on the last so gaps don’t pile up.

If an explanation doesn’t click, I’ll try a different angle until it does. No rushing and no judgment.

I teach high school math (algebra through AP Calculus AB/BC), physics (up to AP Physics 1, 2 and C) and SAT/ACT math, and I can follow IB, GCSE or A-Level.

Lessons are online by video call, in English, and I’m happy to explain in Telugu if that’s easier for you or your parents. Parents are welcome to check in on progress anytime.
