About Chaoyue
I am a PhD graduate in Chemical Engineering with a strong background in math and science. I know what it is like to sit with a problem that just will not click, and I genuinely enjoy that moment when things finally make sense for a student.
My approach is straightforward. I listen first, figure out where things are getting confusing, and then work through it together at a pace that suits you. No rushing, no jargon, just clear explanations and plenty of practice.
I am comfortable working with students from Year 10 through to first-year university, whether you are trying to keep up with class, prep for exams, or just want to feel more confident in math. Lessons are available online via video call, and in-person lessons may be available depending on your location in Perth.
Outside of my research background, I have experience working in team environments and volunteering to support others in building new skills. I look forward to working with motivated students who want to improve their understanding and results.

I hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University, giving me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering principles. My lessons focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorising formulas. I start each session by identifying where a student is struggling, then work through concepts step by step using clear explanations and worked examples tailored to their level.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted based on the student's needs, particularly during exam preparation periods. I am comfortable teaching maths and physics from Year 10 through to first-year university level, including ATAR Mathematics Methods, Specialist Mathematics, and introductory engineering units. Whether you are preparing for exams, catching up on missed content, or aiming to get ahead, I will adapt my approach to suit your goals.
Lessons are available online via video call. In-person lessons across Perth may also be available, depending on location.
