About Dhanya
Hi, my name is Dhanya, and I am an incoming senior at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (PCEP) in Michigan. I have always enjoyed math and challenging myself with advanced coursework, including AP Calculus. Over time, I’ve learned that what makes math click is not just practice, but having someone explain it in a way that actually makes sense.
I would describe myself as patient, encouraging, and very focused on helping students feel comfortable asking questions. I know that math can feel overwhelming at times, so I aim to create a space where students don’t feel rushed or judged and can really take the time to understand each step.
Even though this is my first time tutoring math specifically, I have three years of experience student teaching in other subjects, which has helped me become better at explaining concepts, adapting to different learning styles, and working closely with students one-on-one. I’m excited to bring those skills into math tutoring and help students build both confidence and understanding.

Hi! My name is Dhanya, and I am an incoming senior at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (PCEP) in Michigan. I have always loved mathematics and have completed advanced coursework through AP Calculus. Through years of studying math, I have developed strong problem-solving skills and a deep appreciation for the subject that I am excited to share with others.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence and understanding rather than memorization. I believe that every student can succeed in math when concepts are explained in a way that makes sense to them. I take the time to understand where a student may be struggling and break difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps. My goal is to help students not only solve problems correctly but also understand why the solution works.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and addressing any questions the student may have. We then work through new concepts together using examples and guided practice. I encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions, and actively participate throughout the lesson. By the end of each session, students should feel more confident in the material and prepared to tackle similar problems on their own.
What sets me apart is my enthusiasm for math and my ability to relate to students as someone who has recently completed many of the same courses. While I am new to tutoring mathematics, I have three years of experience student teaching in other subjects, which has helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to adapt explanations to different learning styles. I understand that every student learns differently, and I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students seeking help with arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and introductory calculus. Whether a student wants to strengthen foundational skills, improve grades, prepare for an exam, or gain confidence in math, I would be excited to help them reach their goals.
The difference that makes me stand out is my passion for math and my ability to connect with students as somebody who has just finished many similar classes. Although I am new to math tutoring, I already have three years of experience in student teaching other subjects, which provided me with patience, communication skills, and ability to adjust my explanations accordingly to different learning styles. I know that everybody learns differently, and I want to provide each student with positive and encouraging studying environment.
I am offering my services in form of math classes suitable for elementary, middle school and high school students who need help in arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and introductory calculus.
