About Catherine
Outside of school, I am a student at the Queensland Ballet Academy which has taught me discipline, time management, commitment, and perseverance. I am also a volunteer with Australian Red Cross and a local children’s ministry, where I have developed communication, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
I am patient, approachable, and happy to work through topics step-by-step rather than simply giving the students the answer so they can truly understand the material. I find teaching so enjoyable and it is so rewarding to see others experience that light bulb moment.

Hi! I’m Catherine, a Year 11 student in Brisbane who is passionate about helping younger students feel more confident in their learning.
As a current Queensland student, I understand what it’s like to balance school, assessments, exams, and extracurricular commitments. I know that sometimes a topic just needs to be explained in a different way before it finally makes sense, and I aim to make lessons feel relaxed, encouraging, and suited to each individual's learning style.
I can provide support with:
- Primary school math, English, and general homework
- Years 7-10 math, English, and science
- Year 11 math methods, physics, chemistry, psychology, and English
Lessons are tailored to what each student needs, whether that is catching up on a difficult topic, preparing for an assessment, completing homework, or simply building confidence in a particular subject.
Lessons typically last 1 hour with flexibility depending on student’s age, needs, and availability.
