About Idara
I am an Electrical engineering graduate with a passion for mathematics. I have recently obtained a QTS/PGCE to develop and improve the way I teach maths. I am passionate about my pupils making progress, so I plan my lessons to meet the specific needs of each pupil I’m tutoring. I scaffold lessons when necessary. I have experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs and EAL. I have a nurturing nature, which creates a safe space for pupils to learn. I introduce any topic with small steps as well as promoting the love of learning maths. I work at the students pace making sure that each pupil understands the basics of each topic before moving on. I use low stake assessments while tutoring to assess where pupils are at. I’m also all about changing the way pupils think about maths and presenting my lesson in such a way that pupils can link topics with what they already know.
