About Matthew
I am a recent University of Toronto graduate and I have been providing private tutoring for the past 5 months with A to Z Tutoring. I am extremely comfortable tutoring math to students up to grade 9. I have specifically had a lot of experience tutoring students in grades 5, 7, 8, and 9. Additionally, I have experience adapting my lessons to students of different preferred learning styles (visual, written, auditory, etc.).

My teaching philosophy is to produce creative and individualized lesson plans for each student based on their preferred learning styles. Additionally, I like to break down complicated concepts into multiple easier components. I believe this has been an extremely successful strategy throughout my previous tutoring experiences. Finally, I aim to ensure that my students understand why and how a question is completed rather than memorizing the steps so that they can be better prepared for future academic experiences.
