About Nami
I am a 24 year old varsity student. I enjoy maths and I enjoy helping others understand it. I was previously studying BEng mechanics then switched over to bcom business and information systems. Both degrees consist of maths. Maths is therefore an essential subject to grasp and it starts with a solid foundation. I'm here to assist with that. I am a patient tutor and will offer you the guidance and tools you need to tackle maths problems on your own.

My lessons are all about engaging with each other. The student should inform me before the lesson what problems or topics he/she wishes to address during the lesson so that I am able to prepare before hand. During the lesson I explain the work till the student understands; I offer steps and examples. Then once the student claims to grasp the work, I allow him/her to do a few problems on their own and explain to me what they have done to ensure that they truly understand and as a result, will remember what they have learned. This discourages parrot learning. I may also give some extra homework to the student to tackle for the next lesson before we start with our new topic.

I charge per lesson should a session need to continue past the said hour. However, I can only allow a session to continue for 2 hours maximum.
