About Nancy

I have taught immersion ESL in college-preparatory division courses and high school programs internationally for over 15 years, primarily in classrooms ranging from 3 to 90 students. I have taught relevant courses in Academic English, English as a Second Language, standardized test preparation (TOEFL, IELTS), English for Special Purposes, and English Literature. I hold graduate degrees from established research universities in the United States in addition to specialized training in teaching immersion English.

About the lesson

* Individual lessons tailored to the needs of students
* Immersion English: Lessons are conducted entirely in English and designed to help students develop confidence in an all-English environment
* Choose a skill focus or work toward a goal ('I want to reach TOEFL B2')
* Typical lesson length: 40 minutes
* Materials depend on student goals but always include feedback and time for revision and extension: Textbook exercises, live conversation practice, listening practice, quizzes, writing assignments.

Typical student profile:
-- Students already possessing some basic knowledge of English language and culture
-- Non-native speakers ready and motivated to practice communication in English (the target language)
-- Goal-oriented students get results. Example goals: confidence in speaking, grammar practice, and test preparation (TOEFL and IELTS)
-- Students between 14 and 25
-- All levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
-- All skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening
