About Sarah
Hey! I'm a native German speaker (half German, half Egyptian) and I've lived in Germany — plus I spent every summer there growing up, so the language and culture are genuinely a big part of who I am. I know German the way it's actually spoken, not just out of a textbook.
I teach kids, teens, and adults at all levels, whether you're just starting out and don't know a word yet, or you're somewhere in the middle and want to finally get confident. I'm also multilingual myself, and I know first-hand how important it is to feel supported and not judged when you're learning a new language.
My style really depends on you. Some people like structure and clear goals, others prefer a more relaxed, conversational approach — I'm happy to go with whatever works best. The most important thing to me is that you actually enjoy the sessions, because that's when real progress happens.

My lessons are one hour long and are open to kids, teens, and adults — whether you're a complete beginner or somewhere in the middle and looking to build on what you already know.
I focus on a communicative approach, which means lessons are centred around real conversation and practical, everyday use of the language rather than just drilling grammar rules. That said, I'm fully flexible and happy to tailor lessons to whatever works best for you — whether that's more structured grammar work, vocabulary building, or a mix of everything. The goal is always the same: for German to start feeling natural to you as quickly as possible.
I'm passionate about language learning because I genuinely believe that every new language you speak opens the door to new connections — with people, cultures, and communities that would otherwise be out of reach. It's one of the most human things we can do.
One thing I think makes me a particularly empathetic tutor is that I'm an active language learner myself — along the years, I have taken lessons to learn French, Spanish, and Urdu, so I genuinely understand the journey you're on. I know what it's like to feel lost, to suddenly have things click, and to build confidence in a language that once felt foreign. That experience shapes how I teach and how I support students through the tricky parts.
When it comes to mistakes, I'll ask at the start what you prefer, because some people want to flow without interruption while others like to catch errors in the moment. Either way, I know which mistakes genuinely matter and which are just part of the process, so corrections will always feel helpful rather than discouraging.
