I met Bettina through a mutual friend, and I have been studying German with her for about a year. She is a great teacher, very knowledgable about the language, and very flexible in allowing me to work at my own pace. We have also had some great chats in German. I would recommend her highly.

I cannot recommend Bettina highly enough as a tutor for anyone interested in learning German whether for pleasure or as part of Nat 5 or Higher level qualifications. With Bettina’s tuition, support and encouragement, my family member went from a fail to an A in Higher German from January to May. This grade absolutely contributed to a place at University. Bettina is very thorough and does her best to support her pupil subject to where they need to focus.

I had lessons with Bettina for over a year. I am mostly self taught and married to a German so my German is a complicated mix of quite a lot of vocabulary but not good grammar. I was looking for help being more confident speaking German freely with my in laws. Bettina was great and created varied lessons mixing conversation and grammar exercises to to improve my basic skills and the lessons felt like a chat between friends. She also taught me a lot about how language works in general which was fascinating. After 6 months or so my mother in law commented how much my German had improved and I don't think you can get a better recommendation than that. Thanks Bettina.

My boyfriend was preparing for his German exam with Bettina for 5 months and managed to get from A1/A2 to B1 and pass! Bettina was always accommodating, supportive and adjusted the lessons to what needed the most work and specifically prepared lessons to reflect the German exam he was preparing for. Highly recommend!!

She has been an excellent teacher! Within a short span of time helped my son to get his exams with fantastic scores. My son has been really happy with the way she taught him. Lessons were thorough and well structured. I would recommend her strongly

Bettina is a very reliable, conscientious tutor. She has a background in literature and linguistics and has herself been through the experience of learning a language from scratch several times, so also has the empathy that it takes to support language learners effectively. She is very experienced working with children of all ages. I would highly recommend her whatever your motive is for learning German.

Bettina is very a very thorough and conscientious instructor. She always focuses on what I need to improve on, and tackles it in a way that allows me to correct my mistakes as efficiently as possible. I now feel relaxed going into my exams.
Cheers Bettina

I wholeheartedly recommend Bettina as a diligent and patient tutor with an exceptional grasp of language, both German and English. She is passionate about her subject and driven by detail. She also understands the challenges learners of foreign languages face, as she has wide and varied travel experience.

I’ve known Bettina many years, and she has long standing and wide experience in language learning and teaching. She focuses on keeping students motivated, coming up with imaginative and individual approaches to help her students progress. Bettina’s been in the UK for decades so she knows well the specific issues we English speakers face when adapting to German.

Bettina’s strength is imparting the information in a clear concise manner, which I have found very helpful. Bettina always takes time to ensure that I’m happy with the progress I’m making and is always happy to back over any topics if I feel I need an extra clarification. Overall I would be more than happy to recommend Bettina.

Bettina is a very patient and understanding tutor. She has never lost patience with me, enabling me to move on and succeed. She has successfully encouraged me to think in new ways. After some time, I understood areas I struggled with before.
She is a great tutor - I recommend her with all my heart! Thank you so much, Bettina!

Bettina is really good at working to my level and challenging me without making the process stressful and always having fun, using interesting and relevant material and making me want to improve my German all the time.

Bettina's lessons are always stimulating! She quickly picks up on what you need as a learner and she gives excellent language support in all the skills. An inspiring and thorough instructor.

Bettina takes a real interest in all her students; she is patient, reliable, encouraging and a good listener. All her classes are tailored to her students' needs; she reassures her learners but also challenges them, so they continue to improve their language skills.
I highly recommend her!
