  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I developed an interest in engineering at a young age when I found myself intrigued when watching shows like "How it's Made", it made me question how processes work even though at that young age I didn't have the scope of engineering as a whole. I enjoyed aviation a lot as a kid as well which initially led me to want to be a pilot but simply fell in love with the idea of how machines were made to fly. I remember the movie "Pearl Harbor" simply started my interest in WW2 planes and then I learned about Biplanes and so forth. Lastly came commercial airliners, which made learning about aviation even more in-depth through learning about the design and the intricate details involved in designing airplanes. Therefore I chose engineering as growing up I like to see mechanical applications broken down and understand how they work in unison to provide an application use in our real world.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

Teaching maths today to students is very surreal for me because believe it or not there was a time when I did not like math and neither was I very good at it, but through years of dedication and hard work I enjoyed knowing there was a right answer which I got right, but as well I was even more shocked at the applications that math can be modelled with. One thing that I realized is that even though the other subjects I tutor are Physics and Chemistry is the fact that all three subjects share Math as a common tool for their own respective applications. It was always interesting about various physics concepts and how they are applied to our experiences in our day-to-day lives and the same can be said about Chemistry. I think what captured my interest was the fact that you can learn so much about Math, Physics, and Chemistry that will prove the real-life phenomena we are living in on this planet today.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

I simply like helping people and giving people a better experience in school in any way shape or form I can and that is the truth as to why I like tutoring. I know how it feels like to do badly in school and it is not a good time, therefore I chose to tutor because I know the school system and life can be cruel at times, if I can help make someone's life easier by helping them understand, practice for test or course it's that bit of effort and support that I feel make me happy with schooling.

I think what makes me a Superprof is the level of care and effort I put into tutoring even though I treat it as a second job, I always want to ensure that the students I have are leaving satisfied with the session and they can feel the confidence brewing in them that "Hey, I got this!".
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher who inspired you? Please explain.

I think I had a few teachers who were role models for me, I would say all of them were in High School where I experienced a lot of ups and downs and I learned from my teachers to remain respectful and focused on what you are doing no matter what is going on. My parents are my role models as well due to the situation they came to Canada in and the place they are in today, it's been a journey but through dedication and perseverance I looked up to them for their good morals and values. Lastly, being someone who watched a lot of sports growing up and still do today, I believe in the never-give-up attitude and athletes who lived by this saying such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant, and Muhammad Ali to name a few who had to work hard to get where they are today and seeing their stories of success give me the belief that all the hard work you do will play off one day.
  • What are your keys to success?

The key to my success is the attention to detail I put forth in my day-to-day life, and strong morals when interacting/working with others. The need to always strive to do better and never settle for success to ensure that no slacking and contempt slip into getting in the way of further growth. I know the time and effort that is required and going the extra mile and not just purely thinking of the benefits I gain from tutoring others but also leaving a positive mark on them drives me to do better every time. First and foremost putting the student's needs before mine is another reason I contributed to my success on Superprof and I would like to thank all of the people who helped make Superprof a reality to allow people to offer the kind of connection and help that all tutors are able to give.
