About Claudia
I have taught people of all abilities, learning styles and backgrounds over the past twelve years, for the past eight as a private tutor. Quickly identifying a student's best way of approaching a subject, I tailor every topic in a way that will make sense to that particular individual, making lessons as engaging, enjoyable and effective as possible. Previous students have gone from below 30% to above 85% within a few weeks of tuition, or been moved up two school sets within that time, or transformed their motivation to gain two grades higher than predicted.

Starting from where each student is now, I pinpoint critical gaps in their knowledge (which may be crucial building blocks for further, more complex topics) and weak spots which may need strengthening. I always let the student prove to themselves what they DO know, to root the lessons in positivity and confidence. I then introduce a method they will need as clearly as possible, which they practise. When I am sure they can apply the process independently and are ready to move on, I show them how to build on this skill and use it to answer more complex questions, so that they constantly make solid progress and exceed their own expectations.
