About Adam
Science and Maths Teacher of 5 years and tutor of 4 years all for the love of the game! I’m a friendly, easy-going teacher who believes learning works best when you feel relaxed and comfortable.
I’m very down-to-earth, love music, and I’m the kind of tutor people find easy to chat to and get along with. I enjoy helping adults who want to improve, grow in confidence, or return to learning after a long break.
My goal is to make every lesson positive, supportive and tailored to you, so you always feel encouraged and motivated. I’ve taught a wide range of adult learners, from complete beginners to those preparing for professional exams, and I always adapt my approach to match your goals.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and fully tailored to adult learners. I’m an easy-going tutor and very easy to get along with! I understand that many adults come back to Maths or Science feeling nervous, out of practice, or unsure where to start.
My job is to make the process simple, clear and confidence-building. I use a touchscreen laptop as an interactive whiteboard, so you can see everything I write in real time just as you would in a classroom. This makes explanations visual, step-by-step and easy to follow.
I have a large bank of exam questions, practice tasks and real examples ready to use, and I adapt them to your level — whether you're aiming for Functional Skills, a GCSE retake, workplace numeracy, or just want to build confidence.
You’re always in control..
Everyone learns differently, so you decide the pace: Want to speed up? We speed up. Prefer to slow down and revisit the basics? Absolutely. Need extra examples or more practice? No problem. I tailor every session to what you need on the day.
Lesson length
Most adult learners choose 1 hour sessions, but I also offer longer or shorter sessions depending on your preference and availability.
