About Ronan

Hi my name is Ronan and I am a secondary school teacher based in Maynooth, currently teaching Mathematics and Physical Education. I am in my fourth year of teaching and hold a BSc in Physical Education with Mathematics, graduating with a 2nd Class Honor Grade 1 and QCA of 3. I am passionate about helping students find confidence in Math and believe that with the right support, every student can make real progress and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

I have been providing grinds in Mathematics for over six years and have worked with students of all levels and abilities. Many of my students have gone on to achieve excellent results in state exams, and I take pride in helping each learner reach their potential. My experience both in the classroom and in one-to-one tuition has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt lessons to suit the individual needs of every student.

My tutoring approach focuses on strengthening both conceptual understanding and procedural fluency, as these are the areas where students often face the most challenges. I encourage students to ask questions and work with them to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. Alongside building mathematical knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on exam preparation, ensuring students are confident in tackling exam-style questions and developing effective exam techniques. My aim is to provide a supportive and structured learning environment where students can grow in both confidence and ability.
