About Gary
I am 45 and live in Hampshire with my family. Over the last fifteen years I have tutored and supported many children and young adults on their journey to improve their maths, both on an individual and also group basis. I am currently a software developer so really understand how fundamental a solid foundation in maths is to so many professions. Where possible, I try to relate the topics I am teaching to real life situations. For example, if I am teaching simultaneous equations to a child seeing them for the first time I may use buying different items in a shop as an example. Or, if I am teaching students about different types of statistical distribution I will reference examples where such distributions may occur in real world data.

I offer a friendly approach and am very adaptable to individual students' needs. Regardless if it is six-year-old struggling with the two times table or an excelling undergraduate who needs to do some last-minute practising on calculus to make sure they hit that first in a course I can help. I have a PhD in applied mathematics and have taught small groups of students at university as well as tutoring numerous secondary school students with a wide range of abilities. Normally, I recommend lessons being an hour in length but again this can be tailored to meet your requirements. As a parent to five children, two of which are now adults, I really understand how important it is for children to achieve their full potential and am passionate about enabling them to do so.

Gary is an amazing tutor, I would highly recommend him!
I have learning difficulties so when it came to revising for my GCSEs, I was a lost cause. But Gary put so much time and energy into helping me understand without making me feel dumb or over stressed. Dare I even say he made learning fun
If you or your child Is like me, and finds it impossible to retain any information when trying to revise or gets very over whelmed and tends to give up, then I really would recommend Gary.
He lets you work at your own pace instead of bombarding you with loads of work that you end up drowning in like school does. And he makes sure when the lesson is over that you haven't got any questions or worries about what you've just learnt.
I'm now a mum myself, and would definitely ask for his help if my child ever needed it!
