About Tracie

Working the university help desk initially drew me into this role, and I never found a reason to leave. I have supported 450 students who learn fast or prefer the scenic route.

My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, keeping things logical while I adapt for ADHD, dyslexia, or dyscalculia. Vedic math techniques and arithmetic number sense define my style, but I also enjoy tackling competition math prep. Statistics and probability work is a personal favorite to explore together. I am fundamentally a human who appreciates a good challenge outside of the math room.

About the lesson

Admitting that I often scrap my entire plan mid-session is the most honest way to explain my process. This flexibility ensures we focus on what matters most in the moment. My MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Chicago informs how I break down complex logic. I provide 10.0-point error analysis on mock tests before you face real exams.

We move through homework help with a focus on deep understanding rather than rote memorization. Years of practice help me identify where you might get stuck. You will find that these sessions are consistently engaging because we prioritize clarity over rigid scripts. There is a genuine joy in watching a concept finally click after a difficult hurdle.
