About Rebecca
I have a degree in applied mathematics from USC and have been tutoring for over 5 years at all levels. I have taught 10+ students and helped them raise their grades, get into honors classes, and score well on standardized tests. I am happy to do virtual sessions and in person post-pandemic.

My teaching method is based around conceptual and theoretical learning of mathematical theorems and techniques, followed heavily by practice problems and repetition. I believe they key to excelling in mathematics is twofold, first understanding why the theory or method works, then by practicing how to apply that method to assignments and problems. As a tutor, I meet my student where they are at mathematically, assess their needs, and bring them up to speed and help them excel from there.
