I am a high school mathematics teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Mathematics Instruction from the University of Alabama. My students generally see a grade increase in school along with a 4-5 point increase on the ACT.

I believe that learning mathematics is past just learning how to plug in numbers. I believe it is important that students understand why we do certain things in mathematics. I want my students to know where the formula came from, so they do not have to memorize the formula.
