About Zachary

I’ve been a tutor for 7+ years, giving private lessons as well as working at the drop-in tutoring center for my local college. I have been giving lectures since before I ever had a degree, and I know what it is to struggle with math. I understand that experience and can help you through it

About the lesson

I’m a student that went from hating math to loving it, so I know uniquely well just how important the right teacher is when it comes to loving mathematics. It’s a difficult subject, but it’s a beautiful one, and I’ve worked with students at all levels, from those who enjoy it and want to brush up, to those that absolutely hate it and think they’ll never get it, and I love working with all of them. I’ll meet you where you are, learn how you learn, and teach you how you want to be taught.

Zachary has an unimpeachable approach to teaching. He was my tutor for Calculus1-3, Linear Algebra, and Business Statistics. I would bring him a problem, and he would thoroughly lead me through the proper methods to reach the solution myself without solving the problem himself. Being taught by Zach will ensure comprehension of any subject you seek him out for. I could not recommend him enough.

I did not have a good experience with math for two years, but Zach made the learning experience meaningful. Going into my first year of college, Calculus was a whole new language. Zach was very patient with me and stuck by my side when I did not understand Calculus a few times around. Zach was able to find different ways to explain Calculus that would match my learning style. I was scared of not passing, but Zach’s teaching style made the subject clear and I was able to finally understand it. I also had some concepts brushed up along the way. I highly recommend Zach and look forward to working with him again.

I was never really much of a math person, but Zachary was able to quickly and easily explain concept to me that I had been struggling with for years, while also making it quite enjoyable. I came into many math classes not knowing if I would be able to pass, but he helped me thrive in each mathematics course that I took!

I hadn't taken any math courses in 6 years since my junior year of high school. Zach very quickly was able to gauge my level of understanding and was able to explain everything in a way that made sense to me. Even if I didn't understand a concept at first, he was really patient with me and excellent at breaking it down and making it very clear for me to wrap my smooth brain around the concept. I highly recommend Zach as a tutor!
