About Heather
Believe it or not, I absolutely hated math in high school. I later figured out it was because of not being challenged enough, along with not having a good foundation. I think every student can easily excel in math, with the right teaching technique.

Math is like legos. You must have a good foundation to continue to build. Let's knock it out in order to continue to build. While the common core concept tries to help students have a better understanding of the reasoning behind math, I find it easier to explain how to do it and getting the know-how in the bag first, only to then explain why it is that way. I am a hands on kind of person who teaches that in that way of thinking.
