About Hannah A
I hold associate degrees in Mathematics and Physics and have several years of experience tutoring students in STEM subjects. My academic background allows me to explain mathematical concepts clearly and accurately while helping students develop strong problem-solving skills.
I have worked with students across many levels, from middle school through early college courses. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have helped students improve their understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and introductory physics. I am patient, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence in subjects that can often feel intimidating.
My goal as a tutor is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging problems. I believe that with the right explanations and guidance, every student can improve their understanding of math and develop stronger analytical thinking skills.
Because of my background in both mathematics and physics, I am able to help students see how mathematical ideas connect across different topics and applications. This helps students move beyond memorizing formulas and instead build deeper understanding that will benefit them in future courses.

Bio:
I am a STEM tutor with degrees in Mathematics and Physics and several years of experience helping students build strong problem-solving skills. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students get the right answer, but to help them truly understand the concepts behind the math so they can solve similar problems confidently on their own.
My teaching approach focuses on clear, step-by-step explanations and adapting the lesson to the student's learning style. Many students struggle in math because the material moves too quickly in class, so I slow things down and break complex ideas into smaller, manageable steps. I also encourage students to talk through their reasoning so we can identify where confusion begins.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing the student's current material or homework. We work through examples together, identify any gaps in understanding, and then practice similar problems until the student feels comfortable solving them independently. I also emphasize problem-solving strategies that students can apply across different types of math problems.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my strong STEM background combined with extensive tutoring experience. Because I studied both mathematics and physics, I am comfortable explaining concepts from multiple perspectives to help students connect mathematical ideas to real problems in life.
