About Alexander
I have a Bachelors' in Mathematics from UCLA and Master's in mathematics from the University of Florida. I have tutored for all sorts of math subjects including calculus and math competitions. I love working with students individually and have taught/tutored for over 7 years. I have competed extensively in math competitions including a perfect AMC 10 and top 200 placement on the Putnam.

For math competitions, I teach new concepts through example problems that students work through with my help. I avoid giving direct solutions and answers so that students can figure out how to approach various questions on their own. For school related math, I teach towards understanding every concept so that there is no need for memorizing formulas.
