About Karen
I have a Masters in Mathematics. I worked as a telecommunications engineer for nearly 15 years but missed the human interaction. I went into teaching. I have since 2005 taught high school classes, community college classes and (perhaps my favorite) done one-on-one tutoring where I can get to know and appreciate each student and their wants/likes/needs.

I am an experienced Math teacher/tutor who LOVES interacting with the students. My main focus is on middle school and high school learning but I also enjoy the younger students. I truly believe that MATH CAN BE FUN!
My belief is to make the Math concepts relevant to each student's interests and experiences (sports?, art?, history?, literature?, science?, travel?) Whatever the choice is, Math is relevant!

For elementary level I charge $30/hr. For Algebra/Geometry I charge $35/hr. For Pre Calculus and above I charge $40/hr.
Imbedded in those prices is my travelling to their homes. Webcam tutoring would be less.
