About Noman
My passion to educate others in learning good study habits and solid math concepts will surely be evident to you, once you take a lesson with me. Before becoming a math teacher, I worked as an accountant in NYC, however, after 12 years in that role, I realized my true passion was to be an educator. My mom taught elementary school for almost 42 years, and from an early age, education and its importance was instilled in me. I also love playing the guitar, and have been playing for almost 30 years. I love the blues, classic rock, hip hop and country.

There was a time when I struggled with math as a kid in middle school. It wasn't until that one summer my mom got me help from a tutor who really tackled my misconceptions and helped provide lessons in a patient and easy to follow method.
Not just that, I sincerely believe getting better at math requires knowledge of some essentially solid studying habits, which include consistent practice and repetition of solving hard problems. I tackle these with engaging lessons, and projects that involve real life scenarios, such as budgeting your income, calculating taxes, building your credit score, etc.
I am licensed to teach grades 6 through 9 in North Carolina. However, I am comfortable in even younger grade levels.
