About Wei Xiang
I am a MORSE (maths, operational research, stats, economics) student in University of Warwick. I have struggled through GCSE and A levels, while assisting my peers in the process. My aim in teaching others is not just for the grades but to also provide the learner with a better understanding and foundation of the concept taught. Many of my friends have complimented me for my ability to changing their understanding of the subject.
My credentials include an award for top in Asia for mathematics, and top in my cohort for two consecutive years. Apart from that, I have tutored more than 10 students, all of which were able to score grades at least 2 levels better than their initial grades prior to starting tuition with me.

Need help with Math, Physics or Chemistry? No problem, Im here to help! I have obtained 5A* for my A levels Maths, Further Maths, Additional Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics. It may seem like an incredible accomplishment, but truthfully, you can achieve it too. My goal is to help you achieve your desired grades by improving your understanding of the topics. I had always assisted my peers while we were studying together for GCSEs and A Level, and I aim to provide the same service for you. Unlike typical teachers, I cater my teaching methods to your needs. Want to know more about a topic? I can tell you more about its application, understanding and occasionally, its history. Or maybe, you don't know what you don't know? Then I am always available to teach you an entire topic.

He taught a group of my friends Math in college. From scoring B’s in my class exams, I successfully secured an A in my A Level Exams. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed his teaching method as he was patient and knew when to break off from the group to give one of us individualized attention. I would say one of his best traits is to teach people according to their own personal nuances. For the weaker students, he would be even more patient and teach in a way that wasn’t condescending but encouraging. I respect this a lot considering he is academically gifted in his own regard. He is also skilled in prescribing the right type and quantity of homework for us. We would all do the assignments as his attitude towards his work made anyone want to work hard not just for of their own benefit but because they didn’t want to let a teacher like him down. I’d say he helped me more than my own Math teacher and I’m sure he would be equally as good in the role he is applying for.
Wei Xiang is a very intelligent friend of mine. I do not only admire his intellect but also his passion and patience when teaching others. When I face difficulties tackling questions (be it A-Level questions or university entrance exams), I will immediately seek help from Wei Xiang. Wei Xiang uses a wide range of methods to ensure I fully understand the knowledge and techniques needed to answer the question. He simply does not feed me with an answer however, looks at the question from my perspective and guide me to deriving the answer myself. As a relatively slow learner myself, I highly appreciate Wei Xiang's patience and tolerance whilst teaching me, which I find important as I am able to ask him questions at ease. As a student, it is important to feel at ease with the tutor so that questions can be asked confidently. Lastly, Wei Xiang is adaptable and wise, despite his admirable abilities in the academic field, Wei Xiang has showed kindness and care whilst providing advice to me (be it university choices, personal statement or even things about life!). He is a very optimistic and encouraging individual, a great person to reach out to whenever I doubt myself!
