About Barry
I have been teaching English as a second language for over 20 years. I have four years experience of teaching IELTS online to students from all over the world. I have developed methods which have helped many students achieve a band 7 score or above. I have two undergraduate degrees and a postgraduate degree from UK universities. I also have teaching certifications. I have taught at top-rated UK universities and, several UK colleges and an American university.

My teaching methodology is student-centred. I assess the needs of each individual student and devise a programme that prioritises the skills that they need to develop. I place great importance on getting to know students in order to really get to the bottom of what their needs are. When teaching IELTS I focus almost exclusively on the use of official practice materials so that students develop a thorough understanding of the demands of the test.
