About Riddhima
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours - 1st Class), with majors in genetics and biomedical science. I have been a tutor for close to five years, both on a volunteer basis during high school, and in paid positions during my time at university. I have mentored both high school and university students in a wide variety of subjects, not limited to science, social science, maths, and English.

My teaching method is personalized according to the type of students I mentor, and how many students I am mentoring at the time. I typically get requests for help from students who are struggling in a particular subject area and are looking to do better.
When I first meet a student, I like to see what and how much they know and do not know, and identify any knowledge gaps. From there, I try to address the knowledge gaps by teaching students the relevant information, before covering the knowledge of the topic that they are having trouble with. I typically talk the students through a practice problem and then ask them to complete an easy problem with me guiding them. I then give students practice problems with varying levels of difficulty and ask them to complete the problems before the next session and to write down any thoughts/ideas/issues they had to address in the next session.
I am a strong believer in not doing the work for the student, but rather providing constant guidance, assistance, and feedback until the student starts to understand the topic. I also understand that people varying learning styles, and hence I try to adjust the way I teach to the students learning style, whilst also making sure to receive constant feedback from my students about my performance.
