About Emaan
Hi! I’m a high school student who once hated math. I used to struggle, feel frustrated, and even cry over it. But everything changed when I found the right teacher who helped me finally understand it. That turning point made me fall in love with math, and now I want to be that turning point for someone else. I’ve participated in several science and robotics competitions, been a part of student-led events, and even helped organize academic modules and school-wide programs. I’m fluent in English and Urdu, and I love connecting with people from different backgrounds. I understand how stressful school can be sometimes, so my goal is to make learning math a positive and encouraging experience. As someone closer in age to my students, I bring a fresh and relatable perspective to tutoring. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where students can ask questions, learn at their own pace, and start enjoying math, just like I did.

I believe learning math should be fun, relatable, and tailored to each student’s unique way of understanding. My teaching method focuses on breaking down concepts into simple, easy-to-follow steps and using real-life examples or jokes that connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students. This makes lessons more engaging and less intimidating.
Teaching Methodology:
1) I start by understanding each student’s strengths and where they struggle. Efforts are appreciated more than anything.
2) I use interactive problem-solving, visuals, and relatable analogies to explain concepts.
3) I have a "no question is stupid" policy. questions are encouraged and I will take the time to clarify doubts until the student feels confident.
4) I include small quizzes or games to reinforce learning and keep the lessons lively.
A typical lesson plan:
1) Quick review of previous material or homework.
2) Introduce new concepts with examples and explanations.
3) Guided practice with me supporting step-by-step.
4) Independent practice to build confidence.
5) Recap and setting goals for the next lesson.
What sets me apart:
Having personally struggled with math in elementary and middle school, I know how frustrating it can be. This experience helps me empathize with my students and create a friendly, patient learning environment. I don’t just teach math—I also support students emotionally, understanding that personal challenges can affect learning. I’m a tutor and a friend, making lessons comfortable and motivating.
