As a high school senior with a strong background in math and science, I approach every tutoring session with passion and experience. With perfect scores on AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and AP Physics 1 exams, I've learned my way around more advanced math concepts and problem-solving strategies. My goal is to present that knowledge in a way that's both comprehensible and empowering to students at all levels.
In each session, I let the student work as independently as possible. I've found that students learn best when they're doing the thinking themselves, not when they're just watching someone else do the thinking for them. I try to be a guide—asking the right questions, giving hints when needed, and offering encouragement—so that the student builds their confidence and problem-solving skills step by step.
My philosophy in teaching is based on simplicity and clarity. I specialize in taking complicated issues and breaking them down into manageable, reproducible steps that students can apply over and over. Whether it's a tough calculus limit, a statistics concept, or a physics problem, I empower students to find patterns and apply consistent methods to problem-solving with confidence.
A session usually starts with a brief check-in about how the student is feeling regarding the content and what they would like to practice. Then we dive into practice questions—working them through together, then giving the student some time to work similar ones on their own. I promote working the "why" for each step so that students don't just memorize steps but actually grasp the reasoning.
What sets me apart is my genuine passion for math and my commitment to making it accessible and enriching to others. I know from experience how great it feels when something clicks, and I strive to get my students there as well. Whether you're preparing for an upcoming test, stuck on a challenging assignment, or just looking to get ahead, I'm here to support your learning and help you succeed.
I tutor a range of subjects, ranging from math up to AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and AP Physics 1. Whether you're struggling with basic algebra or more advanced topics like derivatives, probability distributions, or Newtonian mechanics, I provide help that's customized to your level. As someone who has taken these AP courses myself, I can simplify concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, connect them to everyday life, and guide students to study for tests in an efficient manner.
