About Stephen
I am the head of my secondary schools Maths department and have been teaching Maths, Physics and Digital technology for 10 years. Prior to that I worked as a senior scientist and Information Systems development project manager for CSIRO and the Australian Institute of Marine Science. I have degrees in Engineering, Education and Master's degree in Information Systems. I have a happy knack of changing students Maths self efficacy beliefs shifting their perspective.

I specialise in meta cognitive analysis, getting students to recognise and promote the thoughts and emotions that bring progress through genuine Math challenges. Once students grow to understand and trust their own internal processes their self belief soars and challenges become fun.
