About Quincy
I regularly gave PE lessons and karate lessons, but I also helped children in Suriname with their homework. I have been speaking American English since I was five, but I did learn British English in order to obtain my International Baccalaureate in English. At VWO this was the subject where I could effortlessly get a 9, so for secondary education I am able to help in any area. I also worked in international environments where I could easily have conversations on both engineering and business topics. I have also written the instructions for the production of metal parts, for which I have had to keep in mind that it needs to be clear and understandable.

I teach by consulting with the student(s) what the problems are or what he/she wants to improve. Then we will discuss what goal needs to be achieved and lessons will be prepared accordingly. For example, to improve conversational skills, we choose a topic that is relevant or that the student knows a lot about, so that we can talk as much as possible. First we will hold short conversations where I will give a lot of advice, but when conversations start going a bit smoother, conversations can take longer, until we have reached a certain length. The length depends on the goal.
