About Launce
The key to professional or academic success in the United States is a firm grasp of English. Modern technologies can assist in translation and writing, but fundamental understanding of the language is an essential skill.
The good news is that acquisition of the skills needed for that success is possible through focused practice and review. For students to succeed, they need a mentor who understands the challenges of language learning and can give learners the confidence to continue a life-long journey of expression.

• My students have at minimum reading and writing skills in their first language. Most are looking for specific skills to improve their professional, technical or academic English communication skills.
• My students range from young adults taking on English writing challenges to people already working in professional situations where clear English communication is an essential element of their work.
• Our work begins with an assessment of the existing skills and target goals for the individual student. Small groups are also welcome.
• Teaching sessions typically last for 90 minutes, from one to three times a week, and, depending on target goals, will include intensive in-person practice and interaction in English reading, writing and/or speaking.
