About Colby
With my students it is important to me that we take the approach to understand the root material before memorizing facts and formulas. I find this ensures that you can extend your knowledge to new concepts as you continue in your math journey. However, I also know that memorizing information is a part of learning. I love coming up with tips and tricks to help inspire your memory based on your own knowledge an experience.

I am a certified math teacher who was previously in the high school classroom with students. Since then I have decided to switch my interests to developing my own math skills as an actuary. However, from my time in the classroom I have developed skills and a variety of tools to help any math student succeed. Everyone sees numbers differently but with individualized help I know that we are all capable of finding success in the math classroom.
